Dargo Walnut Retreat is a brand-new 3-bedroom 1 bathroom plus a separate self-contained pod situation in the heart of beautiful Dargo…. Surrounded by 80-year-old walnut trees you will experience the country life experience while also being only 150 meters to the main street pub and general store.
There is space for a whole family get away or just a intimate couple retreat. There is a beautiful fire pit where family and friends’ stories can be shared, music played, and marshmallows roasted
We offer packages to suit your individual needs from full service including food, firewood, linen to just the accommodation.
The home has a master with a queen bed, second bedroom has a double but and third bedroom has a bunk set (double on bottom and single on top) You will keep warm with a lovely gas log indoor fire and cool with 2 reverse cycle reconditioners, there is a beautifully appointed bathroom which comes with a walk in shower, stunning fully equipped kitchen with all your cooking needs, the dining table sits 10 and it is lit by a beautiful antler pendant
The “POD” is fully self-contained with a fridge, TV, R/C aircon, microwave, toaster, and kettle with a double bunk on the bottom and a single bunk on top adjoining the Pod is a stunning private outside bathroom

Dargo Walnut Retreat – “The Hut”
Off-grid retreat … Dargo Walnut Retreat is a “hut” with a difference. The studio-style getaway is totally off-grid and set in a very peaceful, secluded area outside Dargo. Enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the Dargo valley. Winter mornings are special here – watch the fog clouds roll over the hills and meander through the valley.
An extra above-ground tent is also available for an adventurous youngster, close to the hut.
The hut boasts a unique bathroom with overhead shower and a full-length window view of the surrounding bush. The bedroom/living area is wrapped in windows to welcome the high-country views inside.
Outside, the country experience continues. Hosts, Bruce and Sue, have created a campfire area with some wood supplied. Try your hand at camp cooking with the camp oven, jaffle iron, billy and other equipment all provided.
A solar power system supplies the power for lighting and a remote-start generator is used for hot water and the split-system aircon.
Guests are able to wander freely over the property in front of the hut and bush-walking on other parts of the property with hosts’ permission. Metal detectors and gold pans are available for hire.
Best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and other personal toiletries. Soap is provided though.
As the property is powered by solar and generator, please remember to turn the generator on prior to using your own appliances such as hair dryers etc.

A word on Mobile coverage – the only mobile provider in the area is Telstra. If you don’t use Telstra, please consider purchasing a Telstra SIM for your mobile phone to use during your stay in Dargo. Otherwise there is no other mobile service available.
